| 11.1 a. Motion | |
| MOTION to approve the following resolution establishing a communication vehicle for Board inquiries to the Administration.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board Secretary shall establish, no later than the last day of June, 2007, a secure electronic facility in which, pursuant to Policy 820.0, members of the Board of Education may submit requests for information from the District;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent shall either post the information in an answer on the electronic facility; post an answer indicating that the information will be otherwise distributed, as in paper copies; post an answer indicating that immediate posting of the information is not possible but also indicating approximately when such information shall be posted or distributed; or post an answer indicating why the request is not "reasonable" within the terms of policy 820.0;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that access to the electronic facility be limited so as to preclude an exchange of views about the information presented and, in the case of sensitive personnel information, that the exchange be available only to the Superintendent, the Board President, the Chair of the Personnel Committee, and the member making the request;
AND, BE IT NOTED, that the Board of Education recognizes that these requests for information are as fully subject to eventual public access as any written exchange regarding the transmission of information between and among members of the administration and members of the Board. |
